Greetings Parents/Guardians,
I want to first say thank you for electing me as your 2010/2011 executive board president of the Glen Lea Football Association. I am truly humbled by the choice you have made both for myself and the other elected board members. With that we carry the responsibility to serve you in an efficient manor with honesty and integrity.
Secondly, it is evident that we are in a season of Change, both in our country and in the Glen Lea MYFA. This year marks a very proud moment for our country as we prepare to welcome our nation’s First African American (44th) President of the United States. Also historically, in the span of 40 years, Glen Lea has been the standard bearer of winning more championships than any other association in the metro league. Yes, we did hit a pothole and experienced a flat season last year and fell a little short of our destination (championship), but now it’s time to put some air back into this season and get our front end alignment. Therefore I ask for your support. From the Executive Board to the coaches, parents and kids, “Our Dream-Works when the Team-Works together.”
This year we have the ability of doing something very special and rewarding for our kids. To those that are charting new territory, well wishes. To our die hard fans let’s do it again for the kids.
On behalf of the Executive Board of the Glen Lea MYFA, I look forward to working with you as we anticipate a very positive and rewarding experience. Go Lions!!

Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Glen Lea
Football and Cheerleading Association to insure every child with the desire to participate
in recreational league activities has the opportunity to play or cheer, without
regard to prior experience or athletic ability.
Our goal is to teach our youth the challenges of competition, the joy of
victory, to endure defeat, the importance of commitment and trust and to
understand that individuals need to work together for a common goal.
We will also stress the importance of academic achievement, good citizenship and
physical well-being to enable our youth to be productive citizens of any
community. These goals will be executed through our dedicated volunteers, caring
parents, and community members who wish to partner with our great youth program.
